"Aikamme uros" by Mikhail Iurevich Lermontov is a novel published in 1840. It follows Pechorin, a compelling Byronic antihero whose cynical philosophy and restless spirit lead him through romantic conquests and emotional turmoil in the Caucasus. This groundbreaking psychological fiction explores a man of contradictions—sensitive yet detached, intelligent yet self-destructive—who pursues pleasure while confronting the futility of existence. As his arbitrary actions bring tragedy to those around him, Pechorin's journey reveals the
darker dimensions of a generation's moral emptiness. (This is an automatically generated summary.)
